I am reviewing the book The Bane Chronicles 1: What Really Happened In Peru by Cassandra Clare et al which is not very good & which I bought from kindle. This book or booklet is probably around 40 pages and whilst quite cheap I thought it’s a bit of a cheek to be charging anything for it. Obviously it’s going to be a series of books but surely they could have made the 1st installment a decent length. The plot is about a warlock in Peru and he has amazing powers of longevity in his lifespan as well as other things. The story starts in the 18th Century and stretches into the 20th Century. He is hired by someone and there is a kind of hodge podge of them sailing around and going in pubs but not a lot else. Also he gets deported from Peru but we are not told why. It’s a shame because normally I like Cassandra’s books.
